Dr. Dominic Maneen is a dual board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician. He was born and raised in Houston, TX.

Whether you're a patient just thinking about getting physically active to stay healthy, a weekend 5k-er, or a professional athlete, Dr. Maneen provides both primary care and non-surgical orthopedic and concussion care for all ages, and at all stages of physical fitness. His dual certification in family and sports medicine,  provides Dr. Maneen with extensive training and experience to treat acute and chronic conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes, infections, osteoarthritis, chronic pain, fractures, sprains, and concussions among a range of others. He sees patient for routine check-ups, wellness and preventative healthcare, and sport physicals. He is proficient at joint and soft tissue injections and offers ultrasound-guided and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections at his clinic.

 

Dr. Maneen’s many years as an athletic trainer for professional, collegiate, and student athletes makes him especially prepared to handle all manner of sports related injuries and conditions in his practice.  He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas in athletic training, taking care of collegiate athletes throughout his studies. During his undergraduate studies, he also spent time working with high school athletes, semi-pro athletes, and the Harlem Globetrotters. Upon graduating, he worked as an athletic trainer with the Detroit Lions of the NFL and then Houston Baptist University before deciding to pursue his doctorate degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. While in medical school he also earned his MBA from Rockhurst University in healthcare leadership. Dr. Maneen completed his family medicine residency in Houston and participated in medical event coverage for HBU, the Houston Marathon, Skeeters, and Fort Bend ISD. After residency, he pursued additional specialization in the field, completing a fellowship in sports medicine with Cone Health in Greensboro, NC, where he was team physician for North Carolina A&T University, the largest HBCU in the country.

 

Dr. Maneen currently serves on medical committees with the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), and continues to serve as an on-site physician for the Houston Marathon, Woodforest Bank Tri, Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas, among other local races. You can often find him under the Friday night lights as the sideline doctor for high school football games in the Woodlands/Spring area.
